Consulting surveyors licensed under the Surveying Act 2004 are the only people with statutory responsibility for the establishment of title boundaries. Title boundaries may require accurate re-establishment in order to ensure the rights of all adjacent title holders are protected. If any improvements are to be constructed on or near a boundary or easement expensive problems can be avoided by ensuring a report and/or the boundaries are marked before commencement.
